Celcius as the New Go-To Energy Drink

By Madilyn Kim

Waking up after a restless night is the worst, and to me, Celsius is the best cure for that. I love drinking Celcius as a pick-me-up. Coffee isn’t my favorite beverage and making it in the mornings is a hassle, especially since I’m always running out the door. Celsius is an easy option because you can just grab it to go and have a kick start for your day. It’s fruity, refreshing, and energizing.

My friend encouraged me to try Celsius even though I never really liked energy drinks. I liked it more because it is a healthy alternative to drinks like Redbull and Monster. Regular energy drinks contain high amounts of sugars and chemicals that Celsius has managed to downsize. It also has eliminated high fructose corn syrup from their drinks. Celsius contains crucial vitamins and amino acids. The drinks come in a variety of flavors like sparkling orange, kiwi guava, wild berry, and more! They are usually carbonated but they do have a few non-carbonated options. Celsius has been making their energy drinks since 2005 and got an unexpected amount of popularity recently. The drink speeds up your metabolism, burns body fat, and supplies energy for the day. It is a cleaner option compared to other energy drinks. It can also be used as a pre-workout and help with performance.

The drink has 200 mg of caffeine so it is recommended to limit one to two celsius a day. Rumors have gone around that Celsius has caused liver damage but researchers say that any excessive amount of caffeine can cause liver damage. So, the moral of the story is, don’t drink an excessive amount of it. Besides that, it is a delicious drink that I highly recommend for anyone who needs a little boost of energy to get through their day.
